Locality: Field No. CEK-611
Description: [Note from R.B. Blodgett: no geographic information provided in E&R report, other than that it is from the Iliamna quadrangle. However, transmittal sheets of Kirschner indicate that the locality is "Lk (Lake)Iliamna. It should also be noted that the text (p. B16) and geologic map of Detterman and Reed, 1980, USGS Bull. 1368-B suggests that this locality is at Millets Point, north shore of Lake Iliamna, situated in the Iliamna D-5 1:63,600-scale quadrangle]

Title: Report on Referred Fossils ,  1956 (01/18)
Report by: John W. Wells
Referred by: Charles E. Kirschner
Age: Late Triassic
Formation:Kamishak Formation (Revised; Robert B. Blodgett, 02/09/2008 )
Comment:This faunule is undoubtedly of Upper Triassic age, and represents the shallow-water reef fauna of the tropical zone so widespread throughout the Tethys during Late Triassic times. Heterastridium is especially interesting, for it is known only from Late Triassic rocks and has heretofore been found only once before in America (Alaska, J.P. Smith, 1927).
